The F3Sc is not a bad machine, giving comfort, a decent screen and enough performance for everyday use. It scores high with a maximum brightness of VAT is somewhat disappointing, especially in comparison with more flamboyant rivals. The notebook benefits from the low energy demand and the low emissions of this hardware compared to more powerful chips, still the performance is sufficiently high for one or the other game. Furthermore, one of the keys provides an easy way of deactivating the touch pad. Also in idle mode the fan always runs, but its noise is not disturbing. Regarding workmanship and robustness it also scores alright.

The bottom and the top side get only moderately warmer under load. Featuring an entry-level graphics card – the Nvidia GeForce M G – we expected the Asus to be able to handle tasks with ease. The keyboard is user-friendly, even when typing for a long time.

The glossy Super-TFT panel impresses, offering colourful and bright images. But, this stems from an keyboard absolutely tightly attached to the base unit.

The F3Sc’s MB of memory is less than average, but thanks to an efficient design, applications ran smoothly, and Windows Vista booted quickly.

So, a limited mobile use is possible. The case shows the already well-known combination of a saus and gray display cover and palm rest areas with a black case trough. The F3Sc is not a bad machine, giving comfort, a decent screen and enough performance for everyday f3wc. Although the fan runs all the time, its noise is alright.

The wide display creates plenty of space for a good-sized keyboard, and the keys are firmly attached and move with a nicely weighted action.
